5 Star Recruit rivals.com (Michigan Commit)

Coming off the 2016-2017 season where he led Orangeville Prep to an OSBA Championship and was named League and Finals MVP, ‘Iggy’ has showed no signs of slowing down. For a second straight year he is looking to lead the league in scoring and is on pace for a third straight OSBA 1st Team All Star selection. His size at 6’8, coupled with his ability to finish with either hand through contact, and shooting the 3 at a high clip makes him almost unguardable. He is a matchup nightmare for opposing teams being able to score at will.

2. Luguentz Dort

Basketball without Borders (2017)

Luguentz has taken the OSBA by storm in his first year in the league. A combination of athleticism and finesse has allowed Lu to control every aspect of the game, consistently filling up the stat sheet every night.  He lives above the rim, eats defenders in the lane, and don’t sleep on him from beyond the arch either, Luguentz has developed a consistent three point shot as well. Luguentz looks to capture the elusive OSBA championship for the second time in program history. While also being in the conversation for MVP, DPOY and First Team All-Star.

Coming back to Canada for the second half of the OSBA Season, Jonathon Kabongo has been an instant impact player torching Lincoln Prep for 28 points with 8 triples in his first look in OSBA action. By injecting Kabongo into the lineup, Thornlea has drastically evolved into one of the tougher matchups heading into the 2018 Playoffs.

Don’t let his size fool you, Sackey can take over a game in several ways. Leading the league in assists he is able to attack the paint and find the open man for easy buckets. Extremely athletic, strong with the ball and an absolute weapon in transition. He is a threat from long range, has an explosive step against close outs and a high basketball IQ which allows Sackey to dice up opposing defenses. Daniel looks to take a retooled Thornlea far into the postseason.

An athletic scorer, combined with above the rim bounce, Junior has quickly brushed off the rust from his 2017 injury.  Junior will use the rest of the OSBA season to get back into full form in time for another championship run.

Will attack the paint and keeps the defense honest by being able to dish off a pass for a basket. He has range to his jump shot, but can also be a handful around the rim, showing he is capable of hitting the floater and finishing with either hand. Vernon is the definition of a floor general,  effectively running one of the highest powered offenses in the league.

Joe is a strong offensive rebounder and a must box out anywhere on the floor.  His ability to get after rebounds allows for easy put backs. His paint presence on the defensive end keeps oppositions thinking twice about attacking the rim. His patients on the offensive end is one of his biggest strengths. Joe is the type of big who does not need plays run for him to be effective on the floor.
