Student-Athlete Transfer Policy

Purpose

This policy encourages players and their families to make informed choices about the selection of their team/school. It promotes commitment and respect among players, coaches, and teams. This policy also enables OSBA, as the governing body, to promote fair competition among its member schools and to uphold the values of equity, opportunity, and accountability for its members.

Breaches & Penalties

Any person who is aware that a student-athlete is in breach of this policy may report such a breach to the OSBA by means of a written complaint by the OSBA member school to the OSBA Office by emailing elite@basketball.on.ca.

In the event an OSBA student-athlete, or program is found to have breached this policy, the OBA Fair Play Policy Schedules A & B will apply at a minimum to those responsible for violating the policy. OSBA Disciplinary Committee may increase the misconduct sanctions depending on the severity of the breach at their discretion.
