Jolin Ignites as Fort Erie Powers Past Hodan Prep in OSBA Game of the Week

FEIA guard scores 34 in commanding 104–82 home win

FORT ERIE, Ont. — In a showcase of speed, skill, and depth, Fort Erie International Academy continued its strong start to the OSBA season with a convincing 104–82 victory over Hodan Prep on Tuesday night in the league’s Game of the Week.

From the opening tip, Fort Erie dictated the pace, turning defence into offence and attacking relentlessly in transition. Hodan Prep struggled to keep up, plagued by early foul trouble and missed second-chance opportunities.

Star guard Promis N’landu set the tone early, scoring 19 points in the first half, including four three-pointers and a perfect 3-for-3 from the free-throw line. His perimeter shooting and control of tempo kept FEIA in command through two quarters.

Hodan’s Olivier Desjardin tried to answer, heating up in the second quarter with 15 points and three triples of his own. Just before the break, Zachary Downer provided a highlight moment when he banked in a three-quarter court heave at the buzzer to cut Fort Erie’s lead to five — but it was short-lived momentum.

Jolin Takes Over the Second Half
After halftime, the story belonged to Eli Jolin. The 6’7 guard erupted for 22 of his game-high 34 points in the second half, dominating both in transition and from beyond the arc. Jolin’s athleticism and rhythm sparked an early-third-quarter stretch where he scored eight straight points in just one minute, igniting the home crowd and putting Hodan on its heels.

“You know, I just attacked the rim, trying to make big plays,” Jolin said postgame. “The main thing is to play hard. I always go on the court trying to play hard — that’s what I’m here for. I just play with my heart.”

Despite a brief push from Hodan — highlighted by Cashus Buckley’s free throw that cut the lead to nine midway through the fourth — FEIA quickly slammed the door. Turnovers and empty possessions doomed Hodan’s comeback hopes.

The game’s defining moment came at the 4:15 mark of the fourth quarter when Jolin buried a deep three-pointer from five feet beyond the logo, capping a 12–2 Fort Erie run that effectively sealed the win.

After the game, Jolin credited his teammates and FEIA’s depth for the team’s offensive explosion. “We’re really deep,” he said. “We have the deepest team in the country. Everybody can play, everybody can get on the court, get some good minutes, play hard — and that’s what we want to do.”
