N’landu Shines as Fort Erie Extends Win Streak at ‘Battle in the Six’

Written by: JJ Evason | @JJEvason

Toronto, ON —  On a night designed to celebrate elite Canadian prep basketball, Promis N’landu delivered a performance worthy of the spotlight.

The Fort Erie International Academy guard erupted for a game-high 29 points, leading FEIA to a 93–86 victory over Canada Topflight Academy Gold (CTA Gold) in the OSBA’s inaugural “Battle in the Six”, held Saturday, November 1st, at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in downtown Toronto.

The matchup — part of the first-ever OSBA x Baseline Productions crossover event — lived up to its billing, showcasing high-end skill, speed, and energy from tip-off to final buzzer.

N’landu was in complete control from the opening quarter, attacking defenders off the dribble, pulling up confidently from midrange, and finishing through contact. The Quebec native showcased his full offensive toolkit, hitting from beyond the arc and converting consistently at the free-throw line when it mattered most.

“We’ve been together for over a year now — building chemistry together,” N’landu told sideline reporter Hailey Hopkinson following the win. “The ball is moving, we’re playing together — it’s a team thing.”

While N’landu’s scoring stole the headlines, FEIA’s defensive pressure set the tone. The team forced nine steals, turning turnovers into fast-break opportunities and crucial and-one finishes that swung momentum their way in key stretches.

Canada Topflight Academy Gold, meanwhile, struggled to find an offensive rhythm after standout forward Anthony “Tony” Nnajiofor was hampered by foul trouble for much of the night. The short-handed nine-man rotation leaned heavily on its bench, but Fort Erie’s relentless pace and depth proved too much to handle down the stretch.

The win marked FEIA’s fourth consecutive victory, cementing their early-season reputation as one of the OSBA’s deepest and most dynamic squads.
